Functional Appliances
Your child’s teeth and jaw will grow throughout adolescence. If their teeth crowd together or align unevenly, a functional appliance can correct the problem. These appliances support an area of the mouth as your child grows, so their teeth develop with a proper alignment. In many cases, a functional appliance can eliminate need for braces.
Traditional Braces
With traditional fixed braces, small stainless steel brackets are glued to your teeth and connected together with a thin metal wire. This springy wire holds your teeth in the desired position. I can also place tooth-colored or clear brackets to your teeth so your braces are less noticeable.
Invisalign & ClearCorrect
Invisalign and ClearCorrect can successfully treat overly crowded or widely spaced teeth. I may prescribe Invisalign or ClearCorrect to relieve more complex issues, including overbites, underbites, and even crossbites. Clear braces involve a series of aligners that move teeth incrementally. The removable aligners allow you to eat, talk, and smile comfortably. No one will be able to tell you are undergoing orthodontic therapy.
